About this role
Section: Description HIRE: ACCOUNTANT at IPAS Group. Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; 10 years’ relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably with an upstream E&P company, oilfield services company, or similar energy business; ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage; Strong understanding of upstream oil and gas accounting and financial reporting; Experience with joint venture (JV) accounting, partner billings, cash calls, and cost recovery is highly desirable; Knowledge of CAPEX/OPEX accounting, project costing, and budget monitoring; Good knowledge of Nigerian tax, VAT, WHT, PAYE, and regulatory requirements applicable to oil and gas operations; Experience with IFRS and preparation of management and financial reports; Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar; Strong analytical and financial-control skills; Experience working with an upstream company is an advantage
