About the Role
- We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage our financial operations, ensure accurate record-keeping, and support business decision-making.
- The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Handle bank reconciliations, cash flow management, and expense tracking.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, PAYE, WHT, and filing returns.
- Manage payroll processing and maintain accurate financial documentation.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor inventory and cost control, and provide financial insights to management.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure all financial processes are in line with company policies.
Requirements
- B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ICAN / ACCA certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in FMCG, retail or trading.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must reside within or be willing to easily access Victoria Island.
Salary
Salary: N250,000 - N400,000 monthly + Benefits.
