Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations for the accounts department, assign weekly performance goals, and ensure completion across board.
• Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures with proven knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws, rules and regulations.
• Prepare monthly reports to analyze financial health and give objective advice identifying loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
• Provide all records, documents, and files about VAT returns, VAT settlements, and transactional data.
• Process payroll in conjunction with the HR unit.
• Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
• Managing income and expenditure accounts.
• Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data.
• Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
• Professional accounting qualification (ICAN/ACCA) or part-qualification is an added advantage.
