Job title: Account Manager III, Industrial Water Treatment

About the Role Account Manager III collaborates with and shadows an experienced account manager to learn technical water treatment problem-solving and customer selling. The role handles assigned accounts within an existing territory under supervision to retain customers and assist senior ChemTreat staff.

What You'll Do

  • With guidance, create, improve, and implement innovative sales strategies to drive ChemTreat’s position and increase share within the assigned geography.
  • Begin to develop key relationships with customers: identify decision makers, research prospects, cold call with senior staff, follow up, learn strategic questioning, and help identify customers’ needs.
  • Work with senior staff to increase sales and profit margin within the territory.
  • Engage technical staff and management as needed to develop retention and growth strategies.
  • Establish professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts.
  • Learn how to create effective proposals to current and prospective customers.
  • Learn and communicate the ChemTreat value proposition to the customer base.
  • Over time, begin to troubleshoot technical and site-specific process issues.
  • Begin to audit key unit operations.
  • Participate in entertaining customers and prospects in accordance with ChemTreat’s policy.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelors of Science; Engineering or technical degree preferred.
  • 4-6 years of experience interacting with customers at all levels of an organization; water treatment experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills; self-motivated with a strategic mindset; able to balance confidence and humility; team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to produce emails, reports, and proposals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Industry knowledge in water treatment and familiarity with various applications.
  • Travel flexibility depending on territory size; long hours and varied schedules may be required.

Nice to Have

  • Water treatment industry experience (preferred).
  • Engineering or technical degree (preferred).
