About the Role The Account Manager II is a developmental role that involves job shadowing and working alongside and under the supervision of an experienced account manager. This role exposes the associate to technical water treatment problem-solving and fundamentals of customer selling. The candidate will be assigned tasks on accounts within an existing territory to retain and grow the customer base under guidance. What You'll Do
- With guidance, create, improve, and implement innovative sales strategies to drive ChemTreat’s position and increase share within the assigned geography.
- Begin to develop key relationships with customers: identify decision makers, research prospects, cold call with supervision, frequent follow-up, and use strategic questioning to drive to root issues.
- Work with a senior staff member to increase sales and profit margin within the territory.
- Engage technical staff and management as needed to develop retention and growth strategies.
- Establish professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts.
- Learn how to create effective proposals for current and prospective customers.
- Learn and communicate the ChemTreat value proposition to the customer base.
- Over time, troubleshoot technical and site-specific process issues.
- Begin to effectively audit key unit operations.
- Participate in entertaining customers and prospects in accordance with policy.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (emails, reports, proposals).
- Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Industry knowledge specific to water treatment including familiarity with various applications.
- Education: Bachelor of Science; engineering or technical degree or equivalent.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience interacting with customers at all levels of an organization; water treatment experience preferred. Nice to Have
- Experience in water treatment preferred. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $75,000 - $100,000 USD per year.
