About the Role The Account Manager I is a developmental role that involves job shadowing and working alongside and under the supervision of an experienced account manager in the Industrial Water Treatment space. This role exposes the associate to technical water treatment problem-solving and fundamentals of customer selling, with tasks assigned on accounts within an established territory.

What You'll Do

• With guidance, create, improve, and implement innovative sales strategies to drive ChemTreat’s position and increase share within the assigned geography.
• Begin to develop key relationships with customers: identify decision makers, research prospects, cold call with a senior staff member, frequent follow up, implement strategic questioning, and identify customers’ needs.
• Work with senior staff to increase sales and profit margin within the territory.
• Engage technical staff and management as needed to develop retention and growth strategies.
• Establish professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts.
• Learn to create effective proposals to current and prospective customers; communicate ChemTreat value proposition.
• Over time, troubleshoot technical and site-specific process issues; begin to audit key unit operations.
• Participate in entertaining customers and prospects per policy.

• Bachelor’s of Science; Engineering or technical degree preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience interacting with customers; water treatment experience preferred.
