Job title: Account Manager-Employee Benefits
About the Role Lockton is seeking an experienced, dynamic client services professional in the Employee Benefits space, with a fierce commitment to building relationships and exceeding client expectations. The Account Manager will service and market a designated book of business, handling marketing, claims, and administration. You will prepare routine service deliverables, meet with clients, coordinate mid-year and renewal activities, and drive implementation, enrollment, and communication efforts across the team.
What You'll Do
- Service and market designated client book; handle marketing, claims, and administration.
- Prepare monthly experience reports, mid-year analyses, and annual management reports; develop and execute service schedules.
- Meet with clients (solo or with AE/Unit Manager) per standardized schedule.
- Coordinate mid-year/renewals: ensure renewal checklists, prepare renewal reports.
- Prepare employee communications; conduct enrollment meetings; coordinate marketing activities including RFPs, vendor responses, and proposal comparisons.
- Manage carrier transitions & implementation checklists; schedule implementations and employee communications.
- Review agreements/documents; monitor commission/fee reconciliations; provide status updates to AE/Unit Manager.
- Produce monthly service reports by the 10th; assist clients with compliance; participate in training and mentoring; attend internal meetings.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience; typically 3–7 years of client services experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication; ability to build relationships and work with diverse stakeholders.
- Understanding of industry trends, governmental regulations; willingness to complete continuing education.
- Ability to travel (automobile and aircraft) and to work outside normal business hours as needed.
- Ability to organize work, meet deadlines, and protect client/confidential information; ability to work with confidential data.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $63,000–$97,000 per year.
- Performance bonus may be offered based on organizational and individual performance.
