About the Role
Canonical is expanding its Embedded Devices Software Solution Sales team and seeks technically skilled professionals to drive growth in embedded Linux/RTOS solutions (Ubuntu and Ubuntu Core for IoT). This in-person Taipei role focuses on prospecting, account development, and managing a territory to meet annual bookings quotas by selling open source software, services, and related technologies.
What You'll Do
- Build and execute a territory sales plan prioritizing security-focused brands and manufacturers.
- Develop pipeline through outreach, local marketing, industry events, and by expanding relationships beyond inbound.
- Sell a range of open source, services, and software solutions (Ubuntu, Ubuntu Core for IoT) including enterprise software, cloud, virtualization, and container technologies to senior embedded software and IoT stakeholders.
- Work with marketing to promote brand and increase market awareness; collaborate with colleagues on account strategy; maintain professional practice with clear account planning and pipeline reporting.
- Travel regionally for client engagement and internationally for company events twice a year.
- Prospect and develop strategic accounts; maintain and grow existing relationships.
What We're Looking For
- Technically skilled professionals familiar with embedded Linux and RTOS.
- Experience selling complex technical solutions including enterprise software, cloud, virtualization, and container technologies to senior levels of the enterprise and departments focused on embedded software and IoT.
- Ability to build trusted, profitable commercial relationships and develop territory beyond inbound.
- Willingness to travel regionally and internationally.
- In-person availability in Taipei.
- Clear account planning, pipeline reporting, and professional practice.
- Comfortable meeting an annual bookings quota.
Nice to Have
- Real-time Linux capability and pursuing various certifications.
- Experience with Ubuntu Core for IoT.
- Certifications in relevant technologies.
