Job title: Account Manager - Embedded Devices Software Solutions (APAC)
About the Role Canonical is expanding its Embedded Devices Software Solution Sales team and seeks technically skilled professionals to drive APAC territory growth. This remote role focuses on selling Ubuntu and Ubuntu Core for IoT to enterprise customers, building trusted commercial relationships, and achieving annual bookings quotas through prospecting and account development.
What You'll Do
- Build and execute a territory sales plan in APAC prioritizing security-focused brands and manufacturers.
- Develop pipeline through outbound prospecting, local marketing, and industry events; promote brand awareness with Marketing.
- Sell open source, services, and software solutions including embedded Linux/RTOS, Ubuntu Core for IoT, cloud, virtualization, and container technologies to senior enterprise and IoT teams.
- Maintain existing relationships, drive strategic account development, and collaborate on account strategy with colleagues.
- Travel regionally for client engagements and internationally for company events twice per year.
What We're Looking For
- Proven success selling complex technical solutions to senior-level enterprise buyers in embedded software and IoT.
- Deep familiarity with embedded Linux and RTOS; comfortable discussing security, reliability, and footprints.
- Ability to prospect, build and manage a pipeline, perform formal account planning, and provide continuous pipeline reporting.
- Experience selling enterprise software, cloud, virtualization, and container technologies.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; self-motivated; comfortable with remote work.
- Knowledge of or experience with Ubuntu ecosystem and Ubuntu Core is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Real-time Linux capability and related certifications.
- Experience serving brands in consumer electronics, industrial electronics, automotive, or robotics sectors.
