Account Manager - based in Seoul, South Korea
We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our Commercial team in Seoul. This role would suit someone with a strong commercial background in managing and developing an existing customer portfolio, focusing on customer retention, revenue growth and profitability. Build strong customer relationships and act as the key contact for the company. Understand each customer’s needs and business potential, ensure effective product delivery and risk management, and identify opportunities to grow the business.
What you will do
- Manage and develop a portfolio of existing B2B customers, with a strong focus on customer retention, relationship development and revenue growth
- Build strong relationships with customers and understand their business, credit information and risk management needs
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and expand the use of our products and services
- Manage commercial discussions, including pricing, service requirements and contract terms
- Develop a good understanding of customers' businesses and identify opportunities to strengthen long-term partnerships
- Work closely with internal teams and international colleagues to deliver effective solutions to customers
- Monitor account performance and take appropriate commercial action to protect profitability and customer relationships
- Participate in regional and international meetings, training and development opportunities
What we are looking for
- University graduate with a bachelor degree or above focusing in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or law;
- 3–5 years of experience in B2B account management, sales or business development
- Experience in commercial credit reporting, credit risk management or related services is highly valued
- Good understanding of the Korean business environment, particularly import/export, international trade, logistics or shipping
- Strong customer service mindset, confident in supporting B2B customers and managing relationships across different stakeholder levels
- Fluent in Korean and business conversational English, with the confidence to communicate with international colleagues and participate in regional meetings and training
- Willingness to work under pressure with strong self-initiative
