Marquise Energy Limited, a Nigerian engineering and energy services company, is inviting applications for its 2026 Graduate Internship Programme.

The company provides Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Maintenance (EPCM) services to clients across the oil and gas, marine, petrochemical and broader industrial energy sectors.

The current opening is for an Account Intern who will support the company’s finance and accounting operations. The role provides practical experience in financial documentation, transaction recording, account reconciliation, financial reporting and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Account Intern
• Record daily financial transactions using the company’s accounting software.
• Organise and maintain invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and other financial records.
• Update accounting journals, ledgers and supporting schedules.
• Process supplier invoices, prepare payment vouchers and issue customer invoices.
• Monitor outstanding customer payments and assist with collection follow-ups.
• Reconcile supplier and customer statements and identify discrepancies.
• Assist with bank reconciliations, petty cash verification and expense monitoring.
• Report financial discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor.
• Compile financial information for monthly reports and management updates.
• Prepare supporting documents for audits and compliance activities.
• Assist with VAT, WHT and PAYE schedules and related statutory documentation.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Relevant experience, as specified in the vacancy announcement.
• BA/BSc/HND are listed among the acceptable qualification categories in the job specifications. However, the detailed requirements specifically request a Bachelor’s degree. HND holders are advised to confirm their eligibility with the employer.
