About the Role The Account Executive is responsible for creating and executing a strategy to sell Tyler Technologies' software and implementation services to courts and the justice marketplace within a prescribed territory. Remote work is possible; travel is required to cover the West and Midwest regions. What You'll Do
- Refine and execute a strategic sales plan for the assigned territory and target market in the West and/or Midwest United States.
- Supplement Tyler demand creation with personal prospect contact, on-site visits and remote-based efforts.
- Represent Tyler at applicable trade shows and events in the designated territory and target market; may attend national industry conferences when appropriate.
- Visit prospective clients to qualify opportunities and take ownership of the RFP process from start to finish, including defining roles and ensuring timely completion.
- Cultivate relationships and develop credibility with prospective and existing customers; secure onsite meetings to gather business needs.
- Conduct presentations in front of justice agencies’ C-level executives; draft materials and sales messaging.
- Shape the future project scope and cost estimates; propose optimal Tyler solutions.
- Work with internal teams to produce accurate cost proposals; lead demos with scheduling, agenda, and resources; follow up on actions.
- Bring sales process to closure via timely contracts; attend sales meetings; manage pipeline in MS Dynamics CRM.
- Meet quarterly and annual sales goals; stay current with product knowledge and industry developments; communicate plans and reports regularly.
- Estimated travel: 50-75%. What We're Looking For
- Experience with justice-related software; experience in the Justice Community is highly desired.
- Ability to travel 50-75%; minimum two years’ experience managing large, complex territories and diverse product offerings.
- Experience with state and/or county government sales or consulting is preferred; and experience with courts, probation departments, county jails, prosecutor agencies, or public defender offices is strongly preferred.
- Located in California with relevant experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred, but not required.
- Proven formal presentation skills; excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; proven influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to set the right expectations and conduct discovery/needs analysis with prospective customers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; self-starter and team player.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools; experience with pipeline management software (MS Dynamics CRM, Salesforce.com) preferred. Nice to Have

- Salary range: $53,081 - $75,000 annually before geographic differences. Benefits and health/well-being programs are available.
