About the Role Lockton is seeking an experienced, dynamic client services professional in the Employee Benefits space who will build relationships, exceed client expectations, and elevate the Employee Benefits Practice. As an Account Executive, you will lead marketing, servicing, and strategic consulting for prospective and current clients, developing and delivering strategic benefit solutions that meet client needs.
What You'll Do
- Lead marketing, servicing, and strategic consulting efforts with prospective and current clients in the Employee Benefits space.
- Develop and deliver strategic benefit solutions that meet client needs and drive the practice forward.
- Provide strategic planning and consulting, including producing RFPs, coordinating vendor responses, analyzing RFPs, and preparing client reports with recommendations.
- Maintain and enhance client relationships through proactive outreach.
- Understand client requirements and advise on investment options, vendor services, fees, strategies, and goals.
- Review large claims and utilization with clients; discuss monthly claims experience.
- Review profitability on fee-at-risk proposals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and broker servicing networks.
- Coordinate market selection for new and renewal business; oversee issue-resolution between client and vendor.
- Generate new business opportunities through cross-selling; negotiate program terms and costs.
- Mentor and train junior staff.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of client service experience in health and welfare/employee benefits; at least 5 years in a consulting or brokerage firm.
- Experience presenting to clients.
- Experience servicing complex transactions such as acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures.
- Current Life & Health license or ability to obtain immediately.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of the brokerage industry.
- Extensive experience marketing and servicing employer-sponsored benefit plans.
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements of employer-sponsored plans.
- Understanding of industry trends and governmental regulations.
- Ability to complete continuing education requirements; ability to attend meetings, department, and industry training sessions.
- Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft; ability to work outside normal business hours as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $100,000-$175,000 per year (USD).
- Performance Bonus: may be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on organizational and individual performance.
