About the Role
The Account Director is a knowledgeable industry-focused seller responsible for developing relationships and driving business with high potential Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) accounts. This role requires deep industry knowledge and the ability to translate market insights into opportunities for Wyndham, including leveraging Third Party relationships to win new business.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute strategic account plans for Architecture, Engineering & Construction accounts, setting time-bound goals and driving sales activity.
- Increase managed accounts within AEC and align Wyndham offerings with customer needs across chain scales, properties and quality levels.
- Partner with Sales Operations, Sales Development, Sales Specialists, and Marketing to drive sales execution and collaborate with Wyndham Corporate account teams to grow AEC sales with existing customers.
- Actively measure customer performance against goals and serve as the primary day-to-day contact for key AEC customers in partnership with internal teams.
- Apply solution selling techniques, articulate Wyndham’s value, and coordinate cross-functional teams (government and/or infrastructure) to drive win-win outcomes.
- Demonstrate business and technical acumen: understand government travel dynamics, review market conditions, analyze reports, and create reporting to gauge project success. Lead complex end-to-end sales cycles; manage CRM data integrity.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree; minimum 6 years of experience, including at least 3 years in sales.
- Experience handling a $12M+ quota and proven success in Architecture, Engineering & Construction or related industries.
- Strong solution selling skills with the ability to develop account plans and forecasts.
- Proficiency with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office; experience managing government RFP processes; ability to navigate government procurement frameworks.
- Deep understanding of the government travel ecosystem and Infrastructure/Construction customer needs; ability to review market conditions and advise customers on opportunities.
