About the Role Accessioning Technician I at NeoGenomics Laboratories in Ft Myers, FL performs specimen accessioning and logging to support testing workflows. This temporary position assists lab operations by ensuring accurate specimen labeling and efficient turnaround. What You'll Do
- Receive and log specimens into the LIMS
- Assign accession numbers and verify patient/sample information
- Ensure correct labeling and prepare specimens for testing
- Maintain accurate chain-of-custody and documentation
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to support timely processing What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior laboratory support experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
- Willingness to work temporary assignments and adapt to varying shifts as needed Nice to Have
- Prior accessioning or clinical lab support experience
- Familiarity with LIMS or electronic medical record systems
- Phlebotomy certification or related lab experience (optional)
