Access Control Specialist, Part Time
On-site, US-UT-Salt Lake City Part time
Join our team of security professionals ensuring our nation’s assets are protected. As a physical security specialist, you will receive training and growth opportunities while playing a critical role in workplace and mission security for a US intelligence community customer.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control the access of employees and visitors in and out of restricted areas by ensuring people have proper access.
- Ensure prohibited and restricted items do not enter or leave the building.
- Diligently monitor your restricted area.
- Provide excellent customer service to all employees and visitors.
- Remain alert and aware of surroundings.
- Exhibit excellent communication in every interaction.
- Ensure attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently during your scheduled shift(s).
- Ability to adapt to change within high-volume, fast-paced, and slow-paced environments.
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently hold an active TS/SCI with Poly.
- Ability to work 1st Shift (5:00am - 1:00pm, +/- 1 hour), 2nd Shift (1:00pm - 9:00pm, +/- 1 hour), or 3rd Shift (9:00pm - 5:00am, +/- 1 hour) based on contract needs; supports 24/7 operations.
- Must commit to working one weekend shift every weekend.
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license in good standing.
- High School diploma or GED.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Currently live within a 75-mile radius of Salt Lake City, UT.
- Read, speak, and understand English fluently.
- Comfortable leaving mobile device at home or in car; work location in a restricted mobile communication zone.
- Available to work 2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday per year as determined by Amentum.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
- 20/20 vision (glasses and contacts count) with close vision correctable to Jaeger No. 4 for both eyes.
- Free of color blindness.
- Normal fields of vision and good depth perception.
- Hearing correctable to normal with hearing aids; normal hearing demonstrated by a pure tone audiometry HL of 0 dB or lower.
- Able to stand continuously for 4 hours at a time.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Compensation Details: $17.67-$29.24 per hour
