About the Role The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Cincinnati is seeking an academic Hematopathologist/Surgical Pathologist to participate in hematopathology and surgical pathology subspecialty services aligned with the candidate's interests. Autopsy, cytopathology, and molecular pathology service options are also available. In addition to clinical service and resident/fellow teaching, the position offers opportunities for collaborative research within a highly collegial faculty. What You'll Do
- Participation in hematopathology and surgical pathology case review and interpretation, with preparation of diagnostic pathology reports.
- Provision of consultations to other types of physicians regarding diagnoses and medical implications.
- Participation in on-call coverage.
- Participation in multidisciplinary conferences aligned with clinical service responsibilities.
- Teaches pathology residents, medical students, and fellows.
- Attends sectional/divisional/departmental meetings and educational events.
- Performs related duties based on departmental need. What We're Looking For
- Medical degree (MD or DO).
- Completion of a three-year residency/training in Anatomic Pathology or four-year Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
- Completion of one-year fellowship/training in Hematopathology. Compensation & Benefits Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience.
