We are recruiting to fill the position below:

The AC Technician / Refrigeration Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing, and repair of the hotel’s air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
The role ensures that all cooling and refrigeration equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support uninterrupted hotel operations and guest comfort.

Inspect, service, maintain, and repair air-conditioning units and systems throughout the hotel.
Diagnose and resolve faults in split units, cassette units, package units, VRF/VRV systems, and other HVAC equipment where applicable.
Check refrigerant levels and identify leaks.
Clean and replace filters, coils, drain lines, and other components as required.
Monitor the performance and efficiency of AC systems.
Respond promptly to AC breakdowns and guest-room maintenance requests.
Carry out preventive maintenance according to the hotel’s maintenance schedule.

Maintain and repair refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, cold rooms, and other refrigeration equipment.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration faults.
Check compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, fans, and related components.
Monitor temperatures and ensure refrigeration equipment operates within required temperature ranges.
Respond promptly to breakdowns affecting Food & Beverage and kitchen operations.

Conduct routine inspections of AC and refrigeration equipment.
Identify potential faults before they result in equipment failure.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, parts replaced, and equipment condition.
Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
Recommend replacement or repair of faulty equipment when necessary.

Attend to maintenance requests and breakdowns promptly.
Diagnose faults systematically and carry out appropriate repairs.
Replace defective parts and components when required.
Test repaired equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly before returning it to service.
Escalate major technical issues requiring specialist intervention to the Chief Engineer/Engineering Manager.

Follow all hotel health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when carrying out maintenance work.
Handle refrigerants and electrical components safely and in accordance with applicable procedures.
Ensure tools and equipment are used correctly and safely.
Report unsafe conditions, hazards, leaks, or equipment defects immediately.
Maintain a clean and safe work area after completing maintenance activities.

Respond professionally to guest-related maintenance requests.
Coordinate with Front Office and Housekeeping regarding AC-related guest complaints.
Work closely with Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams to ensure refrigeration equipment remains operational.
Communicate the status of repairs and expected completion times to relevant departments.
Minimize disruption to guests and hotel operations while carrying out maintenance work.

Minimum of an OND, Technical Certificate, Trade Test Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience as an AC Technician, Refrigeration Technician, HVAC Technician, or similar role.
Hotel, commercial building, restaurant, or hospitality experience is an advantage.
Hands-on experience in servicing and repairing air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
