About the Role As a disciplinary leader in our new Giessen logistics center, you will take full responsibility for your department’s operations and for the professional and disciplinary leadership of your team. You’ll steer processes with your team to ensure smooth daily operations from day one and help shape the site with the Core Team. What You'll Do
- Provide operational management of your warehouse logistics department and supervise staff.
- Collaborate with Team Leaders to ensure efficient processes and reliable daily targets.
- Use KPIs to identify improvement potentials and implement timely countermeasures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and work closely with other departments for a smooth end-to-end workflow.
- Bring your own ideas to optimize processes and drive innovations; align with our leadership principles and management vision. What We're Looking For
- A degree or equivalent qualification with several years of logistics experience; ideally including formal leadership of more than 20 employees.
- Strong communication, motivation, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Expertise in logistics processes, labor law, and the works council act; ability to act quickly and efficiently.
- Proficiency in using operational KPIs, identifying untapped potentials, and knowledge of occupational health and safety.
- German language at C2 level and English at B2 level. Compensation & Benefits

Location: The new Zalando logistics site in Giessen, Hesse, Germany
- The 130,000 sqm, state-of-the-art facility will be operated by Zalando and is designed for up to 1,700 employees; opening planned for Summer 2026. This site is part of Zalando’s expanding European logistics network and will serve customers in Germany and beyond.
