The A/V Technology Specialist is responsible for installing, configuring, supporting, and continuously improving audiovisual technology across campus. This includes classrooms, conference rooms, simulation spaces, and other learning environments. The position supports university events and serves as a primary technical resource for Extron equipment and related classroom technology.

The position partners closely with faculty, staff, and students to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and promote effective use of instructional technologies.

As a member of the Technology Services team, this position supports day-to-day Help Desk operations and provides technical support alongside Technical Support Specialists. The position is expected to monitor and respond to assigned Jira requests, provide general technical support as needed, and collaborate with other Technology Services staff to resolve issues.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work may occur in classrooms, offices, conference rooms, event spaces, equipment rooms, and other university facilities. The position may occasionally require working from ladders, lifts, under desks, or in other confined or nontraditional positions to install or troubleshoot equipment. Typically sitting, bending, standing, and walking. Hearing and visual acuity within normal range; ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch occasionally; high degree of mobility required.

Able to use standard keyboard, computer equipment, hand tools, and audiovisual equipment. Light to moderate physical effort. Position may require lifting, carrying, moving, installing, and positioning audiovisual and computer equipment weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Communicates effectively and appropriately. Gets along and cooperates with co-workers and appropriately interacts with student-athletes. Participates and functions as an effective member of the team.

CONFIDENTIALITY: Exchanges University information with others only on a "need to know" basis.

ATTENDANCE: Promptly arrives for the designated shift. Follows all applicable policies regarding schedules, attendance, and organizational requirements. Excessive absenteeism will hinder successful job performance.
