About the Role Small Plant Operator (Tree Felling) in the Community Services Department to perform tree felling, cutting and pruning within allocated areas, maintain small plant and equipment, and assist the public, while complying with health and safety regulations. What You'll Do
- Prepares for the days work ensuring that tools, materials and equipment are collected.
- Attends to the felling, cuttings and pruning of trees and woody vegetation within allocated area.
- Maintains allocated small plant and equipment in a clean and functional condition.
- Ensures compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Assists members of the general public. What We're Looking For
- An appropriate level of primary education.
- Competency certificates for cherry picker, chain saw, woodchipper, stump grinder, climbing & tree felling, crane and chemical spraying or obtainable within 6 months of being appointed.
- 6 months relevant experience.
- An appropriate level of secondary education (preferred).
- 1 year relevant experience (preferred). Compensation & Benefits
