About the Role The 3rd Shift Controls Technician (Grade G) supports Arden, NC manufacturing operations by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting automation and control systems. This role ensures safe, efficient production and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives across the line.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and program automation and controls on manufacturing lines.
- Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and install control devices.
- Support production with root cause analysis and implementing improvements.
- Adhere to safety, quality, and BorgWarner policies; participate in shift handoffs and documentation.
What We're Looking For
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in automation and controls.
- Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics; familiar with PLCs and sensors.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment; ability to work 3rd shift.
- Team player with good communication and documentation skills.
