About the Role The Relay Apprentice - 2nd Year is a development role in Entergy's relay and protection group. Under close supervision, you will assist with testing, repairing, calibrating relays and related equipment in laboratory and field, and you may participate in storm restoration and substation activities.
What You'll Do
- Perform less difficult tasks involved in making tests, repairs, adjustments, and calibrations on relays, meters, telemeters, supervisory control, carrier current equipment, and related equipment, under close supervision.
- Assist in storm restoration in substations and with other groups.
- Operate computer applications for testing relays and equipment.
- Connect and read meters, instruments, and related devices; take notes in field and lab; prepare routine reports.
