Job title: 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician
About the Role The 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician at Nutreco's Companion Animal facility in Neosho, MO is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems to keep production running efficiently during the 1pm-9pm shift.
What You'll Do
- Own maintenance tasks by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal production.
- Conduct scheduled inspections on complex machinery including grinding, mixing, and bag filling equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and propose solutions.
- Signal process deviations, order spare parts, and support facilities including R&D labs and utilities.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with quality and safety regulations, contributing to the Feeding the Future mission.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma and 1–3 years of maintenance experience.
- Expertise in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical installations (grinders, mixers, bag fillers).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, team-oriented, proactive problem-solver.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, signal potential flaws to leadership, and adhere to safety and quality regulations.
- Experience with pneumatic conveying (positive displacement blower or vacuum), auger conveying, rotary valves, pneumatics, dust collection, and control wiring.
