Are you a recent graduate aspiring to establish a career in asset management and contribute to the continued advancement of the investment industry?
The Public Investment Corporation (PIC) invites high-performing, motivated graduates to apply for its Graduate Development Programme, a structured pathway designed to develop the next generation of investment professionals. Through targeted learning and practical workplace exposure, participants will acquire the technical knowledge, professional capabilities and industry experience required to contribute effectively to the asset management sector and support South Africa’s economic growth and development objectives.
About the Programme: The PIC Graduate Development Programme (GDP) is a structured workplace development initiative that supports the transition of high-potential graduates from academic study into professional careers within the asset and investment management sector. The programme combines targeted learning interventions, practical on-the-job experience, mentorship and exposure to relevant business functions across the PIC.
Participants will develop technical expertise, commercial awareness, professional competencies and an understanding of governance, risk and responsible investment practices. Through exposure to the broader investment management value chain, graduates will gain insight into how the PIC executes its mandate, manages client assets and contributes to sustainable economic growth and development in South Africa. The programme is designed to cultivate capable, ethical and adaptable professionals who can contribute meaningfully to the PIC and the broader financial services industry.
Qualifying Criteria:
- Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Certified copy of South African Identity Document
- Studying towards a minimum NQF7 qualification from an Accredited Institution of Higher Learning
- Have achieved a minimum overall academic average of 60% in their completed qualification.
