About the job

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

About the team The Enterprise SG&A team within Corporate Finance builds the systems that power Anduril's SG&A finance teams. That means the data pipelines, automations, dashboards, and AI tools that finance partners use to plan, forecast, report, and close. As Anduril scales, our job is to make sure the finance organization's tooling scales with it.

We're looking for an intern who wants to work where finance, data, and AI meet. You'll work with real data from day one, ship tools that finance teams and department owners use every month, and take on a wide range of projects.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain automations that replace manual steps in month-end close, reporting, and planning workflows

  • Write SQL and Python against Anduril's financial data warehouse (Databricks) to pull, clean, and analyze GL, vendor, and headcount data

  • Design self-serve dashboards and tools so finance partners and department owners can get answers without ad hoc data requests

  • Apply AI to finance workflows, including building prompts, agents, and reusable skills, and testing their output for accuracy before it reaches users

  • Set up scheduled tasks and data refreshes so recurring deliverables run on their own

  • Partner with FP&A, Accounting, and business owners to understand how they work today, find bottlenecks, and design and document better processes

  • Build checks that catch data issues early, such as miscoded charges, duplicate spend, or breaks between source systems

  • Take projects from a rough idea through build, testing, and handoff, and keep improving them after they launch

  • We're looking for someone who treats the initial ask as a starting point. If you're asked for a one-time analysis and see that it should be a repeatable tool, or you're fixing a broken number and find the upstream cause, we want you to chase it.

  • Required qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, graduating between December 2027 and June 2028

  • Working knowledge of SQL and Python

  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to build clean, traceable models

  • Basic understanding of financial statements and how a P&L is built

  • Fluency with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar), including prompt engineering: writing clear, structured prompts, iterating on them to improve output quality, and knowing when AI output needs a human check

  • Strong attention to detail and comfort being held to numbers that tie

  • Clear written and verbal communication, including explaining technical work to non-technical stakeholders

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and juggling several projects at once in a fast-moving environment

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

  • Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or another cloud data platform

  • Experience building AI agents, LLM-powered tools, or reusable prompt workflows

  • Experience building bots, APIs, or automations (Slack apps, scheduled tasks, workflow tools)

  • Exposure to data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) or building simple web dashboards

  • Coursework or projects in forecasting, time series, or statistical modeling

  • Familiarity with ERP or EPM systems such as Oracle Fusion or Oracle EPM

  • Prior internship in FP&A, accounting, data analytics, or finance systems

  • Interest in defense, aerospace, or national security
