About the Role The Adjunct Instructor for Internal Medicine at LMU-DCOM Orange Park is responsible for preparing and delivering lectures and/or facilitating labs, and supporting clinical education for medical students. This position supports the mission of LMU-DCOM and contributes to a high-quality clinical education experience.
What You'll Do
- Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff and to the community at large
- Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students
- Promote by precept and example a general atmosphere within LMU-DCOM of respect for knowledge, thought and inquiry
- Deliver lectures utilizing the latest body of knowledge and evidence
- Prepare examination questions as requested
- Meet with course directors as needed and deliver lecture(s) according to published schedule
- Commit to working in a professional multicultural environment that fosters diversity
- Serve as an example to learners and colleagues of appropriate professional behavior
- Demonstrate and supervise students during clinical educational activities utilizing standardized patients and/or volunteer patients
- Supervise students during authorized and approved patient care events including health fairs, sports physicals, or community outreach programs
What We're Looking For
- Licensed D.O., M.D., PhD, or other doctoral degree
- Ability to deliver lectures and supervise clinical education
Nice to Have
- Board Certification in specialty area for physicians
