Calling All Word Lovers! Scrabble, Chats & Good Company
Do you enjoy a friendly game of Scrabble and great conversation?
An older lady who is bright, quick-witted, and loves the challenge of finding just the right word is hoping to share a game or two with a volunteer. Scrabble is one of her favourite ways to connect, enjoy a laugh, and keep her mind active. Conversation is something she truly enjoys. While speaking can sometimes take a little extra effort, she is very engaged, loves a chat, and values the opportunity to spend time with someone who is patient, friendly, and enjoys good company.
Whether you're a seasoned Scrabble champion or simply love word games, your visit could become a highlight of both your days. Expect friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and the occasional challenge to your vocabulary!
30-minute visits, weekly or fortnightly, after 10:00am on a weekday. We're happy to work around your availability.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30 minute visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
