Training Officer

A Training Officer at IITA in Lagos, Nigeria coordinates and delivers skill-building programs across state contexts. The role adapts the program’s technical, business, and soft-skills curricula to local needs, plans and schedules training cohorts, and collaborates with state teams to mobilize venues, facilitators, mentors, and participants. The officer identifies and supports qualified local facilitators, oversees hands-on training at Youth Agribusiness Parks and other centers, and ensures inclusive training for persons with disabilities and multilingual approaches for internally displaced youth. They support school-based programs, track participant progress, distribute training materials, and help link trainees to mentorship, youth networks, finance, markets, and job opportunities.
