Trainee Accountant
Overview: Trainee Accountant to join Genesis Group's finance team in Port Harcourt. This entry-level position will support daily bookkeeping, financial reconciliations, and reporting under the direct supervision and guidance of qualified accountants.
Responsibilities
- Input daily invoices, operational expenses, and cash book entries into accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable and receivable ledgers.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures, including journal entries and trial balance preparation.
- Organize financial documentation and verify accounting records for internal and external audits.
- Ensure all financial files and records comply with statutory regulations and internal controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
