Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Part Time UCHC Technician I for the East Jersey State Prison, located in Rahway, NJ. The Technician I participates as a member of the clinical and administrative medical team at the Prison. The role supports patient care and health service operations within the Health Service Unit.
What You'll Do
- Takes vital signs, height and weight, and documents in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assists the physician/advanced practitioner with procedures, including preparing the inmate for examination.
- Obtains specimen collection and handling, including, but not limited to, drawing blood.
- Assists with cleaning, sterilization and securing of equipment within the Health Service Unit.
