About this role
Responsibilities
- Supporting the evaluation and analysis of risks to help determine appropriate coverage, terms, and pricing.
- Reviewing underwriting submissions, financial information, loss history, exposure data, and other relevant materials.
- Building relationships and communicating with brokers, clients, and internal business partners.
- Assisting with the preparation of quotes, proposals, renewals, and other underwriting documentation.
- Learning to apply underwriting guidelines, appetite, and risk selection strategies.
- Partnering with experienced underwriters and cross-functional teams such as Claims, Actuarial, Risk Engineering, and Analytics.
- Using data and analytical tools to support underwriting decisions.
- Developing knowledge of AIG’s products, industry trends, market conditions, and the specific business area in which they’re placed.
