Description
- Peer Tutors assist students in learning concepts and skills related to course-based learning. Peer Tutors are an essential part of the Academic Affairs mission to retain students through formal peer interactions in the University’s academic safety net.
Essential Functions:
- Assist students by providing tutoring in the subject area for which he/she is qualified.
- Review class material with students by discussing strategies and working solutions to problems or reviewing other assignments.
- Provide feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students.
- Assess students’ progress throughout tutoring sessions.
