The Role
- The Stevedore Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating stevedoring activities to ensure cargo loading and discharge operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved stowage plans, HSE standards, and port regulations.
- The role provides direct oversight of stevedore gangs, ensures effective manpower deployment, and serves as the operational link between vessel officers and terminal management.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily stevedoring operations including cargo loading, discharge, lashing, unlashing, and tallying activities.
- Computation and preparation of labour payments input information.
- Enforce strict compliance with HSE policies, PPE usage, toolbox talks, and safe work procedures.
