Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Part Time Staff Nurse for the Adult Diagnostic Treatment Center in Avenel, NJ. The UCHC Staff Nurse utilizes the nursing process to meet a variety of health care needs with ambulatory care as a primary focus; works with a variety of health care professionals and security officers in a correctional environment; frequently functions guided by nursing protocols; and functions as a team leader as assigned.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to meet physiological, psychosocial and emotional needs of inmate patients including adults (18 to 64) and geriatrics (65+) and their families within the framework of the correctional system.
- Utilize the nursing process with ambulatory care as a primary focus and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
