Senior Software Engineer II
About this role
Confluent is hiring a Senior Software Engineer II to join its Stream Governance engineering team, available in multiple US locations (Boston MA, Chicago IL, Remote NC, Dallas TX, Portland OR). You will own critical backend systems underpinning Confluent's data streaming platform, delivering functionality such as Confluent Schema Registry, Data Contracts, and Policies.
In this role you will collaborate with the team and key stakeholders to design, architect, and develop cloud-native, multi-tenant services for Stream Governance, acting as a technical leader: setting direction for projects, making architecture decisions, mentoring engineers, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to ship high-impact work on complex distributed data challenges at scale.
