The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) is a prominent, second-generation federal public research university located along the East/West Road in Choba and Aluu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. Established in 1975 as University College, it attained full university status in 1977 and operates under the official motto, "For Enlightenment and Self-Reliance."

Duties
- The Registrar is a Principal Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative work of the University, except as regards matters of finance for which the Bursar is responsible.
