SCOPE: The major responsibility of this position is as a working Production Lead in support of a designated area, line segment or cell(s) to meet all production requirements and index as scheduled. This will include using lean tools such as Visual Management, Continuous Improvement, and Standard Work, etc. This position will also monitor and improve processes, apply technical skills as needed, and recommend additional labor to the Production Supervisor in support of his/her team if additional manpower is needed in the area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Thorough understanding of the task playbooks and takt time requirements in order to assist the supervisor in the direction and planning of activities required to index the product complete into the next cell.
