In1979, it expanded its operations to Ghana, a country situated in West Africa, and registered under the name, World Vision Ghana. Ghana has a diverse multiethnic population of over 31 million people, with a majority of the population being of Christian faith. The country also performs relatively well in metrics of healthcare, economic growth, and human development. World Vision Ghana’s head office is based in the capital city, Accra with two additional regional field offices, one based in Accra and the other in Tamale an area in the Northern part of Ghana.
