This role provides health care services applying pulsed radio-frequency waves and magnetic energy to assist diagnosis or treatment, performing MRI procedures, computer processing, and related techniques to produce images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. The technologist provides appropriate patient care, acts as a role model for comprehensive care addressing physiological and socio-cultural needs of patients and families, serves as a resource to other MRI staff on complex issues, ensures equipment is accounted for each shift, and assists in employee development.
