What We Need: We are looking for a Morning News Editor for the Rocky Mountain Region of 24/7 News. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to write and craft newscasts for KOA's morning news block, as well as provide local, regional, and national news content to the 24/7 News Wire. Availability and desire to work early mornings is a must.
What You'll Do
- Write clear, concise news copy.
- Assemble stories into newscast under intense deadline pressure.
- Produce, edit and write content for 24/7 Newswire.
- Post news and video content to newsroom social media platforms.
- Gather audio from press conferences, live events and partner TV stations.
- Produce short-form reports (voicers/wraps) for anchors on the following shift.
- May be called on to anchor breaking news reports as needed.
- General newsroom responsibilities and duties as assigned.
