Section: About the Role A new, forward-looking medical diagnostic centre in Port Harcourt is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform and report laboratory investigations accurately while maintaining professional, quality, biosafety, and ISO 15189:2022 standards.
Section: Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical laboratory processes within your area of competence.
- Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot automated laboratory analysers.
- Review samples and validate results before release.
- Perform internal quality control and participate in external quality assessment programmes.
- Identify and document QC failures, nonconformities, and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and use LIMS for sample tracking, result entry, validation, and reporting.
- Monitor reagents and consumables, including expiry dates.
