Description
- The Medical Laboratory Scientist will perform, validate, document and report laboratory investigations accurately and efficiently while complying with professional, quality, biosafety and ISO 15189:2022 requirements.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform laboratory investigations within the candidate's area of professional competence.
- Operate and maintain automated laboratory analysers according to approved procedures and manufacturers' instructions.
- Perform pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical processes correctly.
- Review sample suitability before analysis.
- Perform internal quality control and participate in external quality assessment programmes.
- Apply statistical quality-control principles and appropriate laboratory quality indicators.
