Mechanical Fitter - Rigging - Pelzer
POSITION SUMMARY The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for safely and effectively preparing and assembling mechanical components from intake to shipment. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, working with various hand and power tools, operating forklifts to move large material, and using overhead cranes within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a positive, solutions-focused, and productive attitude in support of plant goals for reliability, safety, integrity, quality, and overall performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to assemble mechanical components using hand tools, torque wrenches, and other equipment.
- Utilize forklifts, overhead cranes, and material handling equipment to transport components within the facility.
