Instruction Librarian - LaGuardia Community College

The LaGuardia Community College Library is seeking applicants from diverse backgrounds with a strong public service orientation for the position of Instruction Librarian. This is a full-time, on-campus, tenure-track position in the Instruction Unit, reporting to the Chairperson. The library’s approach to teaching is rooted in learner-centered pedagogy and critical inquiry, guided by LaGuardia’s core competencies and the ACRL Information Literacy Framework. Our focus is on teaching transferable information literacy concepts and cultivating inclusive learning environments.

Specifically, the Instruction Librarian will perform the following duties:

• Teach one-shots, course-related information literacy classes, and drop-in workshops;
• Provide reference services (in-person, chat, email, and consultations);
