About this role
Job title: Financial Accountant (EMEA)
Responsibilities
- Participate in all activities related to full-cycle accounting, including building journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing monthly reporting packages, answering questions from the central accounting team and researching and resolving discrepancies.
- Drive the entire year-end financial process including coordination with the external audit team, tax advisors and sign-off on the local financial statements across all jurisdictions.
- Responsible for a number of Riot subsidiary companies and their compliance. This will require cross collaboration across various teams such as Talent, Legal, Treasury and others.
- Research unusual transactions and follow up with other groups to get more information. Discuss the findings with the accounting team to conclude on the proper accounting treatment.
