Job Summary/Overview The Designer, Controls is responsible for designing and fabricating control systems based on technical drawings. This position develops diagrams using CAD.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel layout drawings, etc. using CAD.
- Create drawings from written and verbal specifications.
- Partner with engineers regarding project accuracy, design, standards, and design documentation.
- Complete project responsibilities within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Create bills of materials that include control enclosure, components, and wire.
- Act as a technical resource for internal and external customers.
- Participate on cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes, methods, productivity, and quality, while reducing costs.
