About this role
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small accounting team
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and management reports
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, banking, cash activity, and treasury functions
- Maintain accurate general-ledger records and supporting schedules
- Manage high-value inventory and related financing arrangements
- Review deal cost sheets, customer transactions, commissions, deposits, and closing documentation
- Ensure timely and accurate support for business-critical transactions
- Prepare and remit applicable multistate sales-and-use taxes
- Coordinate annual financial reviews, external audits, insurance audits, and retirement-plan reporting
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures
