Bay Area Hospital is hiring a Clinic Medical Assistant for Oncology at the Bay Area Cancer Center in Coos Bay, Oregon. This is a full-time position (80 hours per pay period, day shift) paying between $21.38 and $31.73 per hour depending on experience, in the BACC Front Office department.
The Medical Assistant functions as a member of the clinic's patient care team, performing clinical tasks and procedures to support delivery of care, and provides administrative support to the clinic.
Key duties include:
- Supporting Bay Area Hospital Ambulatory Services staff, including physicians
- Preparing patients for their visit by directing/accompanying them to the exam room, providing gowns and drapes, and assisting with positioning for exams
- Performing clinical tasks and procedures under the direction of clinic providers
- Providing front-office administrative support for the clinic
