Behavioral Health Nursing Supervisor - Mental Health Unit
The BH Nursing Supervisor serves as an expert clinical practitioner who utilizes specialized knowledge, skill, research, and competency acquired through education and experience to promote and assist in providing quality patient care in all units. This includes collaborating with other departments and physicians as necessary, assisting staff in patient placement and the coordination of patient care, and acting as clinical resource to unit staff as needed. The BH Nursing Supervisor assists the staff in customer service and patient satisfaction issues when necessary. Locating and obtaining needed resources and supplies while complying with regulatory and infection control policies is an integrate part of the BH Nursing Supervisor role.
